Check-In is between 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.  Please call ahead for availability of earlier or later check-in times.  Because there is not a front desk like there is in a hotel, and the innkeepers are up early to prepare breakfast, we ask that you try to adhere to the established check in times as much as possible.

Check-Out is 11:00 am.  Arrangements must be made for later check-out times.  Guests staying longer than 30 minutes past the established check out time will be charged a late fee of $25 for each 30 minutes past check out time.

Children 6 years and older are welcome.  The $10.00 charge per extra person also applies to each child.  Our facility is just not set up for toddlers and younger children.  There are many prickly cacti, and some desert critters in the gardens that can certainly be hazardous to unsuspecting little ones.

All rooms and areas within the building are non-smoking areas.  Smoking is permitted in all outdoor areas.  An extra cleaning fee of $375.00 will be charged for smoking in any of the rooms or interior areas of the house.

There is no cancellation charge for cancellations made more than 30 days before the check-in date.

Cancellations made between 10 and 30 days before the check in date will be charged $15.00.

Cancellations made 10 days or less before the check in date will be the full amount of the reservation.  A gift certificate, good for 120 days, will be given for the full amount of the reservation of the cancelled reservation.  Use of the gift certificate is subject to availability.  We will make every effort to rent the room for the timeframe of your cancelled reservation to avoid cancellation fees.

Well mannered pets are allowed with prior permission in the Oso and Tortugas rooms.

Pets are not to be left unattended in the room or on the rom's private patio.  Pets are to be kept on a leash at all times.  Owners are expected to pick up after their pets have gone to the bathroom and plastic bags will be provided on request.  Pet owners are responsible for damage caused by pets and extra fees may be assessed for cleaning or if needed, for replacement of furnishings.  Pets are not permitted on the beds or furniture because of the sensitivity of other travellers to pet dander and hair.

Items left at the B&B

If you leave personal items (cell phone chargers, clothes, etc.) please contact us and we will gladly return them to you.  There will be a service charge of $25.00 plus the cost of postage.  This is due to our rural location and needing to make a special trip to the post office.

Marlene and her beautiful country inn (bed & breakfast) were a delight! We will definitely be visiting again. From the serene views overlooking the beautiful, large patio, to the clean, spacious, beautifully-decorated guest rooms, to the fresh, delicious breakfast -- we cannot decide which was our favorite aspect of this quaint inn. It is highly recommended should you find yourself traveling to the El Paso area. Very worth the short drive from the heart of downtown El Paso. It's located about a mile off of a sand/dirt road, so you will feel 'lost' at first. Do not let this deter you! Casa de Suenos is now a favorite of ours!

The inn is a lovely place to retreat and relax while also being accessible to the historic town of Mesilla and the El Paso-Juarez metropolitan area. It is located on a hill with breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Valley, Franklin Mountains and the twinkling lights of the cities at night. The decor is charming and colorful reflecting the culture of New Mexico, Marlene and Peanuts treated us like family. Breakfasts were healthy and tasty. If you don't want to stay in a generic chain motel but still want access to restaurants, nearby wineries and area sights, the Casa de Suenos Inn is a perfect choice.

I cannot say enough about this place. it is the cleanest, most accommodating, most comfortable B and B I have ever stayed in. we were a group of five bowlers and stayed 4 nights while in El Paso. Our bowling schedule changed and we had to bowl at 7 am instead of 9 PM. So not only were we able to check out after we were done, but George fed the girls who were staying at the house breakfast and then made us bowlers breakfast when we returned to the house. They also allowed the dogs to take our morning walks with us! Not only is the inside of the house beautiful, but the scenery and setting is beyond words. This is like Heaven on Earth. If ever I am out to New Mexico again, I will be sure to hope they have an empty room for anther stay!!! Liz from Beverly Hills Florida

We spent 4 exceptional nights here in the Ozo suite - each of the 4 suites has a Southwestern theme - ours was the bear and the bedroom/washroom were tastefully decorated with pictures, carpets, woven coasters of the Ozo. The bed - oh, so comfortable! We took day trips exploring the countryside and it was such a relief to come back to our home-away-from-home. No city noises, waking up to a beautiful vista of desert and mountains, a wonderful retreat. Marlene is a gracious hostess who prepares wonderful homemade breakfasts! Highly recommend her Casa de Suenos - for one night or many!
